Jason took the plunge into us working together after a 2 year hiatus with the gym. With him having a pretty good idea of training already, Jason was keen to get to work and start a new chapter of his training.
Jason had never worked with a trainer in the past, however, he was very comfortable with putting his trust into me taking care of his training and nutrition.
I wanted to figure out how Jason responded to a specific calorie intake to begin with, this way we could set out a baseline and plan out his mass gain phase correctly.

I asked Jason to commit to the program and cut everything back to basics. We cut back on all cardio due to his physically demanding job, increased his calorie intake through better choices of food and watched him progress week in, week out and achieving his best physique to date, all at the age of 44.

When I started working with Mike, I saw it as a perfect opportunity to improve his physique to something way beyond what he imagined in the given time frame. He reminded me a lot of myself when I first got into fitness with a similar build and a burning struggle to build muscle.
Taking a look through Mike’s previous 12 months of training, it was clear that he had been using the same typical 4 day split routine he had been using since the beginning, he wasn’t tracking his workouts and the diet he was consuming meant he was always tired, hungry and irritable.
We decided the best plan of action was to overhaul his training split and increase the frequency of his training. We began to track workouts and had him eating a specific macro nutrient intake each day.
12 weeks of dedicated training later, Mike had felt that he had improved significantly. Not only did he look better, he felt better and also reported that both men and women had started to treat him differently.
